Gifts to the campaign allow you to invest in the future of North Catholic High School while also providing exceptional tax benefits.
• CASH CONTRIBUTIONS are the easiest and most direct way to support the Campaign and donors have five years to fulfill a pledge. Generally, such gifts are fully tax deductible. To send a gift via personal check (made payable to North Catholic High School): Forever True Capital Campaign, North Catholic High School, 1400 Troy Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. To make an online gift to the Capital Campaign, please see our secure DONATION LINK.
• MATCHING GIFTS may permit donors to double or even triple the value of a gift. Please note that matching gift formulas apply to financial support received, not anticipated future pledge payments.
• GIFTS IN KIND allow donors to earn tax benefits while assisting the Campaign. Thus North Catholic may accept donations of goods or services which further the Campaign’s goals. However, such gifts are subject to NCHS policies.
• PLANNED (DEFERRED) GIFTS can sometimes provide the opportunity to make campaign gifts greater than initially expected. Although all deferred gifts will be accepted during the campaign and applied in some way toward the goals, only those gifts from donors over the age of 66 that are legally irrevocable can be credited toward the campaign goal.
Counting Planned (Deferred) Gifts
• If the donor is 75+ years old, irrevocable future gifts will be fully counted if accompanied by a cash gift equal to 25% or more of the future gift.
• If the donor is 66-75 years old, irrevocable future gifts will be discounted at a rate of 10% per year for both counting and naming purposes
• If the donor is 65 years old or younger, irrevocable future gifts will not count in the campaign.
